General Manager, Logistics Recruitment, Abu Dhabi

Our client, a global Freight & Logistics provider, are currently seeking a General Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a new venture, strategize and establish a sound foundation with a diversified service portfolio.

The right candidate must have broad experience in freight & logistics in terms of sales & operations with emphasis on growing the business and developing both the product offering & geographical network.

Responsibilities will include:
• Grow & develop the business through identification of trends and opportunities in the Freight & Logistics industry and then implement strategies to succeed
• Manage key client relationships and negotiate innovative solutions
• Challenge operational and commercial performance to improve at every level, implement KPI’s to support this
• Lead and motivate key personnel, monitor and manage performance
• Development and enhancement of customer relationships
• Implementation of projects in accordance with customer requirements
• External interface and development of relationships with other industry bodies and governments

Requirements:
Business graduate
• Minimum 5 years management experience from a Freight Forwarding/ 3PL / 4PL / company
• Must have at least 3 years Middle East experience
• P&L management, planning and overall budgetary control experience
• Strong communication & relationship skills with clients and employees
• Must have strong local market knowledge
• Excellent networking and influencing skills
