Reliability Engineer

Purpose / Role :
To deliver optimum performance & continuous improvement in Reliability and Availability of Safety and Production Critical equipment.

Key aims and objectives :
Ensuring that the total maintenance effort delivers its required objectives as efficiently, effectively and safely as possible

Prime responsibilities and duties :
- Lead Root Cause Analysis studies to minimize repeat failures

- Provide direction and leadership in maintenance and capital spares planning based on equipment condition information and history.
- Work with O&M teams to analyze equipment reliability data in order to determine gaps, set appropriate KPIs, and to drive improvement in the areas of greatest impact.
- Benchmark performance of equipment and systems both internally and externally. Apply best business practice to improve machinery reliability and availability on the asset.
- Draft reliability and maintenance procedures, review and approve the effectiveness of maintenance procedures.

- Good knowledge of offshore/onshore equipment, systems and associated legislation

Senior Drilling Engineer

Premier Oil is an international oil and gas exploration and production company with interests in the UK, Asia and Africa. We are currently seeking high caliber candidates to fill the following position.

The successful applicant will play a significant role in the continuous progress of the company.

We are looking for:
Senior Drilling Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares cost estimates and engineering work (including drilling
programmes) related to concept screening, planning, design and
construction of wells drilled by Premier Oil Indonesia.
- Provides technical support to the tendering and procurement process
to ensure that cost effective and adequate materials and services are
utilized in the operations whilst all applicable procurement
regulations are met.
- Provides day-to-day operations engineering support to the rig(s).
- During critical/unusual operations provides technical support at the
rig site.
- Assists in the control and co-ordination of emergency situations
occurring during operations.
- Updates operational procedures as operations progress or fall
outside the original well design.
- Participates in pre and post-well reviews (involving the onshore and
offshore teams), including risk assessments, to identify improvements
in performance or HSE.
- Prepares final reports, including End of Well Reports and lessons
learned documents. Reviews well cost reconciliations.
- Initiates and attends regular meetings with other company
disciplines, contractors and regulatory bodies during the planning and
execution of drilling, completion and testing related operations.
- Performs non-routine tasks as directed by the Chief drilling
Engineer or as opportunity presents, in order to meet Department and
Company goals. Ensures that he and other relevant people are kept
informed of all major opportunities, developments or problems that
will impact on the business.
- Promotes sharing of knowledge between Indonesian PSC s wherever
practicable.
- Carries out work in other Premier business units or on assignment to
other Indonesian PSC s as requested by Drilling Manager.
- Ensures that all activities conducted comply with the highest
ethical standards, all standard Operating Procedures and all Company
and government regulations.

Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years experience with an Oil & Gas company.
- University degree (Bachelor) in an engineering discipline,
preferably majoring in oil and gas science or petroleum engineering.
- Fluent in both written & spoken English.
- Very proficient with computers and standard well engineering software.
