It is a joint venture of the Dow Chemical Company (42.5%), Petrochemical Industries Company (42.5%), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (9%) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (6%). EQUATE is now embarking on an ambitious expansion plan that will be completed in 2009, as such, we are in need on the following position immediately:

Petrochemical Company

CHEMICAL ENGINEER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Chemical Engineer)

Responsibilities:
- Plant or area, process subject matter resource.
- Utilizes process knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues and improving process performance and reliability.
- Provide technical direction to the Unit Operations Team to optimize performance in plant production and safety.
-Contribute Technical and Process Technology skills to the Daily Operations Team over and above routine trouble-shooting activities to correct or prevent recurring, costly, abnormal conditions.
- Provide direction to the Operations Team on business needs and Plant priorities, production plans, maintenance, production turn arounds, quality requirements, changes and improvements in operation.
- Support the operation of the unit at the best possible level within defined constraints for such areas as period and variable costs, quality, production, safety and environmental performance.
- Develop the Technical capability of the Operations Team through Coaching, training sessions and procedure changes.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Boilers and/ or Air Separation unit in Petrochemical industry or Refinery.
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Electrical Engineer)

Responsibilities:
- Utilizes electrical knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting electrical distribution/ system or equipment issues and improving electrical performance and reliability.
- Provides the full understanding of electrical system of the complex and apply knowledge to improve the system, define problems. ‘Provide technical direction to the Unit Operations Team to optimize performance in plant production and safety.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical distribution and sub- stations in Petrochemical industry or Refinery.
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

AROMATICS PRODUCTION ENGINEER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Aromatics Production Engineer)

Responsibilities:
- Experience in commissioning and startup, reviewing operating manuals and preparing start up and operating instruction manual and day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of Platformer/CCR, Hydrotreating Aromatics plant.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience mainly in Aromatics plants.
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

ETHYL BENZENE/ STYRENE MONOMER PRODUCTION ENGINEER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Ethyl Benzene/ Styrene Monomer Production Engineer)

Responsibilities:
Responsible for performance improvement and troubleshooting of plant problems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in technical services/ operations of Ethyl Benzene/ Styrene Monomer plant preferably based on Badger (EB) and Dow (SM) technology.
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

UTILITIES OPERATOR
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Utilities Operator)

Responsibilities:
- Operates assigned equipment or areas of Utilities, mainly Boilers and/or Air Separation Plant and perform operations related activities.
- Uses process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and
Operating discipline, follow environment, health and safety standards, perform good panel operation of controlling the process.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as Panel Operator. Has worked with DCS (Honeywell).
- Diploma in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Petrochemical or Refinery in Boiler and/or Air Separation unit.

PROCESS ENGINEER - AROMATICS TECHNOLOGY
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Process Engineer - Aromatics Technology)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring and analysis of plant performance, developing and implementing plant improvements, advanced troubleshooting of plant problems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in technical services/operation of Aromatics complex producing paraxylene (preferably UOP technology)
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

TECHNICAL SERVICE ENGINEER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Technical Service Engineer)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing PFDs, P&IDs, tine lists, logic descriptions, Instrument data sheets, equipment sizing and specifications, vendor selection and review of deliverables, safety valve sizing and selection, hydraulics calculations, EH&S reviews.
- Also responsible for design related troubleshooting of plant problems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years design experience in petrochemical/ refinery projects.
- Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

FIRE FIGHTER
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Fire Fighter)

Responsibilities:
- Performs the duties of an industrial fire fighter (Industrial fire fighting, Rescue and Response to Hazardous Materials Leaks).
- Test, inspect and maintain emergency response and Fire protection equipment.
- Performs/ coordinates certain environmental, IH & reactive chemical monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting.

Qualifications:
- Professional Fire Fighting experience (preferable in Industrial fire fighting).
- Technical Diploma degree.

ETHYLENE OPERATOR
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Ethylene Operator)

Responsibilities:
- In charge of day-to-day operation in Ethylene Plant DCS system.
- Performance of unit startups, shutdowns & troubleshooting.
- Monitor safe operating conditions of the plant and product quality.
- Interface directly with Technical staff.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Ethylene plant operation.
- Technical Diploma degree.
- Must have DCS Experience.

AROMATICS OPERATOR
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Aromatics Operator)

Responsibilities:
- In charge of day-to-day operation in Platformer/ CCR, Hydrotreating and Aromatic Plant.
- Experienced in commissioning/startups, shutdowns& troubleshooting of Platformer/CCR, Hydrotreating and Aromatic Plant.
- Monitor safe operating conditions of the plant and product quality.
- Interface directly with technical staff and other disciplines.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years experience in UOP Platformer/ CCR, Hydro treating and Aromatics Plants and 3 years hands-on experience as DCS Control Room Operator.
- Technical Diploma degree.

LAB TECHNICIAN
(Code: EQUATE - INDO - Lab Technician)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience in industrial Chemical/Petrochemical Laboratory (QA/QC) including experience in commissioning, start-up of Aromatics and/or Ethyl Benzene Styrene Monomer laboratory.
- Hands-on experience in handling analytical instruments and methods including calibration of Gas Chromatographs, HPLC, UV Spectrophotometers, FTIR, ICP and Atomic Absorption instruments.
- Knowledge in ASTM, ISO and other international standards.
- Knowledge in quality management systems (ISO - 9001 & 14001) and audit systems.
- Knowledge in basic computer operation, LIMS and lab related software.
